We run a range of courses to suit all levels, from complete beginners to those wanting to improve their skills on the water.
With many years' experience of running RYA Windsurfing courses - in the UK and abroad, we are confident that you will really enjoy windsurfing with us - Draycote Water is a fantastic environment for windsurfing: safe, well equipped and well prepared.

Course Details:
Start Windsurfing
(£99 per person - max 6 per course)
This course will take you from a complete beginner, teaching you the basics of windsurfing, enabling you to enjoy windsurfing in lighter winds. Starting on a land based simulator you will learn the basics before taking to the water. By the end of the course you will know how to windsurf across the lake and turn around, sail upwind and downwind, tacking and gybing.
Taster Sessions
(£49 per person - max 6 per course)
We also offer a 2 hour taster windsurfing session, which is an ideal way to find out what windsurfing is all about. You will learn how to balance on the board, raise the rig, sail off and know what to do if you fall off! This taster session is available for both adults and children and can lead you on to your beginner course.
Private Tuition
(£30 per person - max 2 per course)
Our experienced instructors are available to teach 1:1 or 1:2. Private tuition provides great flexibility and can be used to hone-in on specific skills and areas of your windsurfing that you want to improve on. You can use your own equipment or hire it from Onboard Surf & Sail.
Intermediate
(£155 per person - max 6 per course)
This course introduces you to the RYA Fastfwd technique, helping you fine tune your basic skills and make your windsurfing faster and more fluid. You will learn new techniques such as the beachstart, and harness work.
Advanced
(£99 per person - max 6 per course)
for those in harness in footstraps . The course will work on technique and advanced tacking and gybing skills, including step gybe, duck gybe and strap to strap gybe
Advanced Windsurfing
(£100 per person - max 6 per course)
On Completing of the advanced course you will be confident sailing in a variety of wind conditions. Advanced coaching will provide you with improved blasting control on variable water states and confident tacking suitable to the conditions.
We will be using video coaching to aid us and help you see areas that need improvement.
